The DVD-to-DVD-R transcoding software has been updated. As the shareware DVD-RB Pro is approaching v1.0 final stage, the freeware version has been upgraded with the most recent bug fixes. For those who are unfamiliar with this tool, the DVD-RB is the most advanced solution for DVD backups. At first it may take a while to figure it out, but once it is properly set up, it is very easy to produce excellent quality backups. The Pro version is now at v1.00 RC6
Below is a summary of the changes/updates associated with this version. Note that this freeware version includes all bugfixes to date. Also note that the freeware version will not include the enhanced capabilities of the Pro Edition -- and future releases will be limited to minor changes and bug fixes only.
- Modified some status routines to ensure compatibility of the INI and INF files between Freeware version and the Professional Edition.
- Fixed an error that could cause ""DVD Rebuilder experienced a buffer overflow. Error #0004.." on some sources.
- Corrected "Runtime Error 75" that could happen at start of rebuild.
- Modified the OPV encoding prediction algorithm so that it will take fewer passes on each VTS.
- Fixed an error that could cause SCR value to "drift" higher over time under some unique circumstances and cause timing irregularities and stutter.
