The test method
In this test we burned a number of discs using the Pioneer DVR-110 (Multi), HP 840i and BenQ DW1640 with the latest firmware. Your results may vary depending on your recorder. For error rate analysis we used nero CD/DVD Speed software and the BenQ DW1640 DVD writer. This test method is not scientifically valid or 100% accurate, but usually gives a good idea of the quality.
Performance using Pioneer DVR-110
Pioneer DVR-110 perform quite well with these Maxell discs with 16X speed. The PIE error graph is not linear though in the end but the values are very low. The PIF levels are good too. Good result!

Performance using BenQ DW1640
BenQ DW1640 did not like these discs at all. PIE graph and values are great but the PIF values and graph are quite bad. Maybe firmware update would help?

Performance using HP 840i
HP 840i was the best writer for these discs in this test. The PIE/PIF values and graphs are excellent! Good job HP!

Conclusions
These discs are very good if you have the right DVD writer (+firmware). We also try to scratch these discs and the shield against scratches was quite good. Pro series gave pro results (except with BenQ writer). If you are looking for solution to backup your important data, pictures, video etc this could be the choice.
