PornTube.com sued by Vivid Entertainment

ImagePornTube is a YouTube look-a-like for X-rated content, that has been sharing porn videos on the Web for quite some time. Now a major adult entertainment producer Vidid has sued them for making profit by illegally distributing copyrighted material. PornTube shares the problem of YouTube, by letting users submit videos to the service. Unfortunately the amount of submitted content is huge, so it is almost an impossible task to filter out all of the copyrighted content from legit ones.

Xbox 360 adds support for DivX

It's official now: Xbox 360 supports AVI files and to be more precise, MPEG-4 Part 2, Simple and Advanced Simple Profiles are supported. That said, XviD videos should work also. Resolutions up to 720p are supported with the maximum bitrate of 5 Mbps. As for audio side, AC3 streams are supported as well as MP3.

Google to offer free online storage?

According to the source, Internet company Google is planning an online data storage service that would allow users to store their documents and files conveniently to Google's service. The idea of course to provide convenient access to the files from anywhere with an Internet connection. The service would most likely be web based and possibly offered for free. This kind of service by Google has been speculated for quite some time, ever since they have been able to offer 2+ gigabytes of capacity for the GMail service. Definitely there would be a lot of demand for this kind of service, as people are often accessing the Internet from many different locations. It could also be speculated if Google would integrate this service to their mobile device operating system Android - mobile devices often have limited storage capacity, so an online storage for photos etc. would be an interesting idea for that market segment as well.
