STEP 3: Authoring

Lets do the authoring! Here you can add your favorite MP3, Audio CDs or WAV files to Audio DVD project.

Image

If you want to select tracks from the Audio CD hit the "Add Audio CD" button. Insert an Audio CD disc to your CD-ROM, and select it from the CD-ROM list. Audio DVD Creator will select all the tracks by default.

Audio DVD Creator will try to find CDDB information (automatically by default) from the freedb.org and then update the Album, Song Name, and other information. After that click "Add to Project" button. Audio DVD Creator will rip initially the selected audio tracks to WAV files on hard disk, then import the tracks to the project. You can also use your favourite CD Rip Tools to rip your CDs to WAV files and add them by "Add Music Files" function.

If you would like to add audio files (MP3, Wav) from your hard disk to the project, you can do it by clicking "Add Music Files" button.

Here you can navigate to the directory which contains your audio files, you can see all the supported audio files in the file list. Click "Add Folder" to import all the audio files in current directory to the "Import File List", or you can select specific audio files and click "Add Files" to import those to "Import File List". After that hit the "Ok" button.

After importing audio files to project, you should return to "Author" page where you can see all the audio files in the project file list, like in the picture below.

You can use "Add Title", "Delete", "Up", "Down" buttons or the pop up menu by right clicking on the project file list, to edit the layout of titles and audio files. If you want to edit Title/Song/Artist caption, just select a node and click "Edit Caption" in pop up menu with a mouse right-click or click "Enter" key. The Title/Song caption will be shown on DVD Menus. By right clicking on the title name row, and choose "Select Title Image", you can assign a background image for that title.

You can check the size of project from the Data Size Pie Graph on the left. Please make sure that it does not exceed the 4.3 GB (max size of DVDR). After you're done select the "Next" button.

Remember: Limits to one Title:
The maximum play time per DVD title is 6h:30m.
The maximum number of audio files per DVD title is 98.
The maximum number of DVD titles is 99.
